It’s no secret around here that I love my sweets, so when I got the idea to try a new recipe with my toddler each week…I was ALL for it! And of course we started with “treats,” but I want all of our recipes to be ones we can all enjoy. So I opted to try a clean eating pumpkin recipe, and it did NOT disappoint! This Clean Eating Pumpkin Cake was a hit with all of us (even if my little one chose to play outside with her daddy instead of bake with me).
Okay, okay, I know you’re probably getting tired of all of the pumpkin recipes…But, I know there are a few of you out there who are just like me and CAN’T get enough of the pumpkin. So, I just HAD to share this recipe with you!
While I try to focus a whole lot more on clean eating and nutrition than anything else when it comes to food these days, there are just some connections I can’t help but ignore.
One of my fondest memories from this time of year is coming home to fresh baked pumpkin muffins on a Sunday morning when my dad had been staying with my grandpa after his stroke. We’d gather in the kitchen and enjoy them as a family as a fun way to reconnect and enjoy a little treat after having all gone our separate ways throughout the week.
Y’all! I’ve already told you I’m on the fall train over here! But I may not have told you I’m making it my mission to create as many new, delicious, AND healthy recipes as I can. But I am now!
Fall flavors and foods are part of what I love most about the season, but they aren’t always the most nutritious. I want to change that, so I’ll be sharing some of my favorite clean eating recipes with all of the yummy fall flavors. This breakfast recipe is a perfect way to start off the season!
With the cooler weather quickly approaching, I’ve found myself wanting to get a jump on all thins pumpkin. So, the other day when I was trying to come up with a fun activity, I couldn’t help but do one that was fall themed. I knew a basic recipe for no cook play dough, so I decided to use it and add a little of one of my favorite fall spices to make this Pumpkin Pie Play Dough! It was a real hit all around, and I didn’t have to worry about it going into little mouths because all the ingredients are edible!
