It’s no secret…I have always, seriously ALWAYS had a sweet tooth! (Like sneak back into the kitchen and lick all the icing off the cupcakes sweet tooth. 🙈) And I won’t say that I’ve miraculously been cured of my love of sweets. (I still enjoy a good cupcake every now and then.) But I have found a few ways to effectively curb my sweet cravings and figured I’d share with you because I know I’m not the only out there who has struggled slaying the sugar dragon.
Y’all! It is definitely that time of year when I just don’t want to spend any more time in the kitchen (or on anything really) than I have to! I don’t want to sacrifice on my nutrition goals, though, so I’m wracking my brain for all the EASY but healthy summer dinner options I can think of!
Chinese has always been one of those foods that I’d gorge myself on and then hate myself afterward. Literally, it’s like I just can’t control myself when there are crab rangoons involved. 🙅🏼
So instead of giving in to temptation, I whipped up a little “Chinese Fakeout” instead! I got the same flavors without all of the added fat and carbs. (Minus the rangoons, of course. I’ll save those for a day when I’m planning a cheat.)
I have always been a snacker and need a little pick-me-up mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Since doing the Whole30, I try to get more of my fill at mealtime, but I still find myself needing to space my meals to have 4 smaller ones throughout the day rather than just 3 larger ones. So I’m always looking for quick, easy options that are nutritious but still keep me full these energy bars are perfect for the job!
I’m all about fresh fruit most of the time, but every once in a while (like while I’m Whole30ing), I just like to switch it up a bit! This Warm Apple Salad is THE perfect way to do that!
