I’ve mentioned a time or two that I try to limit our processed foods as much as I can. While that’s not always easy to do, one way I am able to accomplish it is doing a little meal prep each week and relying on simple recipes for a few of our favorites! One of my “make every week” recipes is this super-simple Cinnamon Honey Granola! It is honestly one that my husband requests each week, and it literally takes under 5 minutes to prepare (as long as my little one is cooperating) and a bit of time to bake.
I love it too because it’s really easy to change up if we decide we want to add something different in it or are out of something. The recipe is based on an easy 6:1 ratio – 6 cups of dry ingredients to 1 cup of wet ingredients. One of my favorite pastimes during the holiday season is baking. But when I’m making treats to enjoy around the house and to take with us elsewhere, the cost of holiday baking can add up fast, particularly because I like to get a good variety of treats. However, I have discovered a few ways to save a little money on holiday baking so I don’t have to put as much of our Christmas budget toward baking. Okay, so I’ll just throw this out there as a disclaimer from the get go. This cookie recipe is in no way meant to be a healthy recipe. I know, I know. One of my focuses is living healthy, but let’s just say we indulge around here once in a while, and when we do, 9 times out of 10, it’s on my homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Now that we have that out of the way, let’s get down to business. I know we all have a different view of what makes the perfect chocolate chip cookie, but hands down I’ve had more good reviews from this cookie recipe than any other I use.
