Time and money are both at a premium for us mamas. But, one of the biggest drains on both are our trips to the grocery store. I don’t know about you, but sometimes it seems like a grocery run is one of the biggest time sucks I run into, and if I’m not careful, it can squander away our budget too. Thankfully, I’ve put a few other practices in place to help save our budget, but one of the things that I’ve most recently been able to do is take advantage of a little technology to save me time AND money when I need to make a grocery run! I don’t like to keep money-saving secrets to myself, so here are a few of my favorite apps to save money and time at the grocery store!
This is one of the newest ones I’ve found, but I’m pretty sure it’s quickly going to become a favorite. This fun little app helps users find food that is local and in-season, so you’ll not only be eating better, you’ll also be saving money! And, you won’t have to drive all over the place to look for it yourself!
2. Grocery Pal
I love this one! It’s like a digital coupon ad for all of the places I might consider shopping – supermarkets, discount stores, and pharmacies. Grocery Pal combines all of the weekly sales in one convenient location, so I can browse to see what items I might want to purchase where.
I’ve not used this one a whole lot yet, but I love it for the convenience of saving time and money. Forget spending hours searching through and clipping coupons. Use this app to collect all your coupons virtually and then just have the cashier scan the barcode from your device.
This app had my heart as soon as I laid eyes on it! I mean, I’m a comparison shopper from way back, so an app that does the hard work for me? Sign me up for that! This app lets you easily compare the prices of two products to determine which the better deal is, and you don’t have to do any of the math yourself!
5. Key Ring
Tired of flipping through all of your rewards cards to find the right one? Then this app is for you! Key Ring lets your store all of your loyalty cards, so you always have them without flipping through all of them. Talk about time and money saver!!!
Hold on to your hats with this one, ladies! I don’t know how many times I’ve copied a recipe by hand only to realize I still forgot an ingredient on my list and had to run back to the store! Let’s not even talk about the waste of time that is. But, I’ve found the perfect solution! GroceryTrip allows you to scan your recipes and then it compiles a list FOR YOU! I love that this makes trying new recipes even easier, which means a double savings of time and money!
I’m all about saving time and money, especially when it comes to grocery trips. These are just a few apps that I’ve recently found to help me save on both, and I’m sure they’ll help you too if you give them a shot! I have to know, though. What are your favorite apps to save money and time at the grocery store?
